The educational visit of our Department's second-year students to the facilities of Thrace Distillery-Winery SA in the Industrial Area of Komotini was successfully completed on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. During the visit, students focused on the facility's state-of-the-art technological equipment, getting a firsthand look at the operation of traditional copper distillation pot stills and the three automated bottling lines. At the same time, they were briefed on the production process of the company's wide range of products, which includes ouzo, tsipouro, brandy-type spirits, liqueurs, as well as vodka and gin, in accordance with strict safety and quality control standards (ISO, IFS). At the end of the tour, students had the opportunity to taste the company's various products. The Department expresses its warm thanks to the company's management and especially to Mr Kasapis for the excellent hospitality and the expert-led tour.
