The Department of Viticulture and Oenology at Democritus University of Thrace welcomed new students for the 2025-26 academic year. The event took place on Wednesday, 08 October 2025, in the main amphitheater. Professor Maria Michalopoulou, representing the Board Council of DUTH, greeted the new students. The head of the Department, Professor Spyridon Mamalis, briefly described the Department's mission. He focused on the competitive advantages the curriculum offers in the professional landscape. Assistant Professor Nikolaos Kontoudakis presented the curriculum. Graduates also spoke at the event, sharing personal experiences from their studies and their professional prospects. New students had their questions about the curriculum answered. The event concluded with a guided tour of the Department's premises.
